A beautiful, original, navy blue Eames Herman Miller EA337 ribbed office chair with the classic manual height adjustment is the perfect high back office chair. An excellent used example, this chair is a perfect example of what these chairs were designed to be, statement pieces that also provide a very useful function.

The addition of colour choices really expanded the versatility of these iconic chairs. Traditionally seen in white and black, brown, tan and navy blue soon started to emerge in the 70s to become quirky, alternative colours to suit a company’s brand colours or just to add that splash of colour to the work environment. 

Individual Characteristics

The leather on this chair is lightly aged, with some gentle signs of wear present on the leather and there are signs of use on the arms which give it an aged character. The colour is exemplary.

The metal does show signs of its age and may benefit from a good polish, but this is only visual and does not affect the structural integrity of the chair.

The chair is stamped March 23 1987 and was produced by Herman Miller.

Investment Details

The Eames Herman Miller Aluminium group have always been popular pieces for both collectors and for the average user. As an investment piece, as with many things, the older the better but as well used and good used pieces, it may be a little aged, but the colour is lovely and it should prove to be a good investment piece.
